Phlebotomy Technician 

This course will teach you all of the skills for the field of phlebotomy. Our instructors will guide you as you learn a variety of types of venipuncture, safety standards, basic anatomy and physiology, and other factors involved in this career. Topics you will learn:

  • Routine Blood Collections
  • Special Collections
  • Processing Specimens

Program Details

The training program is hybrid (online and in person) and can be completed in 4 weeks.

What Does a Phlebotomist Do? 

A Certified Phlebotomist may draw blood, collect lab specimens from patients for analysis, obtain vital signs, verify records, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.

How Much Does a Phlebotomist Make?

In Illinois, on average, Phlebotomists make $19.00/hr- $25.00/hr or $37,440/yr. $49,560/yr

Enrollment Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • GED or High School Diploma or
  • Government-issued ID
  • Hep B Vaccination

Do I Need Prior Medical Training?

No. Being a Certified Phlebotomist requires a high school diploma or GED.

Course Hours &Times

  • Every Thursday for 4 weeks
  • Night class: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Tuition & Fees

  • $1,000 paid in full 

Or a payment plan of $250 a week
